The Welcome Back Family Social was a fantastic success, bringing together Juanita Elementary families for a fun-filled evening. The covered area was alive with energy as families reconnected after summer break, enjoying delicious meals from food trucks, with a portion of proceeds supporting the 5th grade Outdoor Education program. Kids played, parents mingled, and the event fostered a strong sense of community, all while setting the tone for an exciting school year ahead. Thanks to the great turnout, the night exceeded expectations and was a wonderful kickoff to the year! 

The first week of school at Juanita Elementary was filled with excitement and smooth transitions. Students eagerly met their new teachers, reconnected with friends, and settled into their routines. Teachers created welcoming environments, helping everyone feel at ease, while parents and staff ensured a smooth start. By the end of the week, the school was buzzing with energy, setting the stage for a great year ahead! 

The first day of school for 1st - 5th grade is Tuesday, September 3rd! Please remember that Sept 3 - 5 are half days with school time from 8:40a - 11:40a. Lunch will not be served at school. 

The first full day for 1st - 5th graders is Friday, September 6th with school time from 8:40a - 3:10p.

All grades will have their first Early Release Day on Wednesday, September 11 with pick up at 1:40p.

KINDERGARTENERS Start Time

The first day of school for GROUP A Kindergarteners is Friday, September 6th with school time from 8:40a - 3:10p. Group B will stay home that day. 

The first day of school for GROUP B Kindergarteners is Monday, September 9th with school time from 8:40a - 3:10p. Group A will stay home that day. 

The PTA is hosting an ice cream social during the Teacher Meet & Greet on Thursday, August 29th starting at 3p. You can stop by the PTA table to sign up to be a PTA Member and get a free coupon for an ice cream.

The PTA Hospitality team, with the help of the PTA Board Members, hosted a staff luncheon for all staff today at the school. We made sure to introduce ourselves, discussed the teacher Classroom Support reimbursements, and asked them to fill out the Staff Favorite Things survey. 

The staff was excited to be fed delicious food and the PTA Board Members had a chance to catch up with our favorite Juanita El staff!
